1st rvw: This place is so close by so we decided to order it on Valentine's Day via delivery. We got white rice, eggrolls, general tso chicken and beef lo mein. I was impressed with the food. Im really picky with chicken, but this was white meat and the sauce was yummy. The lo mein and beef in it were also yummy. The rice and eggroll were ok, id try something different next time. Update: I got the sickest I've ever gotten.

We decided to give this place another try based on menu stating "new management". If new, it's just as disappointing as the prior owners. My husbands seafood combo dish was 90% chicken with 2 pieces of shrimp. We expected shrimp & scallops; not chicken. Especially since entree was under Seafood section. When we called to question the chicken in the entree, we were told that's how it's made. No apology or offer to send another dish. The rest of our food was only so-so. We will not order from here again. Order from Rong Cheng for great Chinese food, sushi & customer service.

The (small) meat portions in our meals were simply dredged in corn starch, fried, and dumped into the containers. In short, absolutely flavorless. The amount of sauce included was too small to make a difference, and did nothing to help the tastelessness of the meats. The meats were also over-tenderized, and tasted almost pasty - no texture at all. We ordered four entrees, and none of us could finish any of them. I regret purchasing food here.

We went for a late lunch and were the only ones in the restaurant. We are vegetarian and ordered sesame tofu and Buddha veggies with steamed rice. Both meals were brought with fried rice instead of steamed, they brought sesame chicken instead of tofu, and there was a hair in my soup which was not vegetarian like they said it was. We were asked if we wanted lunch or dinner portions, and we chose lunch portions. We were charged for dinner portions. The sesame tofu when it finally arrived correct after 2 send backs just tasted like sweet and sour tofu with some sesame seeds sprinkled on top. We won't be returning.

Eight of us walked in minutes before closing. Not on purpose, the hostess didn't understand my question on the phone. Still, they sat and served us. They were very kind and attentive. The food was wonderful. No one finished their plates. The portions were huge. Only drawback was that they use only canned soda. No refills and very expensive.

Very good, simple chinese food! I don't like many chinese restraunts but I have been a regular here for over 10 years. I always order the same thing, and it is always cooked perfectly. The staff is friendly and in my case always remembers what I want. If you want lots of crazy stuff going on around you, go somewhere else. This is a simple, sit down and eat kinda place.

Good food and ample portions. I like the carry out lunch - plenty of food an rice, plus soup, egg roll and sometimes a cheese wonton or a deep-fried chicken drumette. It's all tasty and I have enough to make a second smaller lunch portion for the next day. The staff is always friendly and remembers regulars. It's not PF Changs or Shangri-La in terms of cuisine but it is always tasty and satisfying, and a good value.

I don't quite understand the negative reviews. I ordered food from this business today for delivery. Now remember this is a chinese restaurant and it's not supposed to be a PF Changs. what I received was generous portions of the Americanized Chinese take out comfort food that lived up to my expectations. They have a wonderfully convenient way to order and pay online including tip and have it delivered. Only a 2 dollar delivery fee and the food arrived in about 20 minutes piping hot. Now I only had the egg rolls, Chicken lo-mein and Thai spring rolls. My general guess is that this place has better thai food then chinese food and I am excited to test this theory.

I wanted to see why there were a bunch of 1 star reviews recently on yelp about this place. It's just a block or two away from me, and my favorites are closed on Mondays so I decided to give it a try. The inside/counter of the restaurant was fairly messy-looking. I thought, well, as long as the food turns out good I can forgive that. The food was ready on time and they packaged it decently - they added extra cardboard to the bottom of the bag in case there were leaks, which few places show attention to. The soup came in a clear plastic container - which probably doesn't retain heat well. I generally order Chicken with cashew, and a soup such as wonton or egg drop (I chose egg drop this time) as my yardstick of how well food is prepared. The food portions are gigantic - but the meat to vegetable ratio was like 1:4. The flavor of the sauce was fairly bland, and the nuts were a bit stale. Although the chicken was fully cooked, it felt like the veggies were added later in the preparation and were relatively uncooked. The soup was decent and sweetened with corn, but like I mentioned earlier, it was fairly lukewarm by the time I sat down at home to eat it. And, like other 1-star yelp reviewers, I did feel sick after eating it. I think it was the warm soup - I don't think they keep it at the right temperature, and the container to take it wasn't adequate to retain heat. I also felt sick the next day when I reheated the leftovers, so maybe the vegetables are suspect too.

I've never been in the restaurant but I love their delivery. The guy that delivers is always nice and socially with me and my fiancé, the food is always hot and the portion sizes are awesome.

I've never been inside, but we have never complained about anything that's been delivered to us. Delivery is always very fast, and good is always good. I love the rangoons and the Buddha veggies. Whenever we are feeling lazy and want Chinese food we always order from here.

Great food and even better lunch deals! You pick your meat and it comes with egg roll, wonton, rice and soup. And fast :)

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
